You know that inspirational thing that happened to the actual Mets where they got swept by the Marlins but then the team stood behind their manager and they swept the Nationals in 4 straight games? That didn’t happen in the ASFBL…Andy took 3 of 4 in the series…and then newcomer Sara Sanchez won 2 of 3 with her Detroit team…Miami, meanwhile, swept Detroit…the actual A’s are on a torrid streak, and John Weerts’ has his team 2 games better than them…and in first place…Baltimore is obvious scuffling through the season, but the ASFBL Orioles split their series with the Yankees…only two Yankees losses of the week…the actual Twins are in first and so is Tim Walsh…the real team is really playing well, and Tim turned in a 5-1 week…his three trades haven’t exactly been blockbusters, but he’s been steadily involved and apparently pushing the right buttons…Yanks, Rays, and Bosox combined to go 17-3 last week… the top of that division is brutal…Tampa Bay ran the table…the red footwear moved into first place in the WOR standings…Houston had a rough week and is now 2.5 games out of first…and in fourth place…anyone could win that division….Danny Wildes is crushing it with Atlanta…he’s made the playoffs with them 3 of the past 4 years and is +7.5 WOR right now, and solidly in first place…he also had two AL East titles in 2009 and 2011….with the Phillies….Dodgers have the best ASFBL record….KC has the best WOR record for a team without a real winning record…that does reduce the number of trade pieces you’ve got to maneuver with…got to see the Mets/Ddogers game with Leo last night, first time we’ve seen each other face-to-face in at least 5 years…he’s a great guy and we had a blast…even if we ended up spending the first inning in the upper deck by accident when our tickets were in the lower reserved….were also there with a guy named Chuck, who introduced me to Alan Minsky…
